Unique Weekend Breaks in Paris, France
Weekend Breaks in Paris
Paris is the ultimate romantic city and is the traditional place for honeymoon couples. It's
only an hour by plane or under 2 by Eurostar. Take a trip up the Eifel Tower, a boat along
the Seine or people watch in one of the many cafes and bars.
For the city weekend breaks, the Paris is one best possible destinations. It's just few hours from UK by train or plane, but it's different enough from British cities to make the trip there look like a real vacation. The sense of the escaping the humdrum reality is improved when you recognise the parts of the city from the films. Amelie, The French Kiss, Last Tango In Paris, Moulin Rouge and several other countless movies were shot in the Paris, so that the visitors often feel as if they are roaming around a big film set.
Visitors contemplating a weekend break in the Paris have several options to make: which spots should one visit? Should you consider spending the morning at Musée du Louvre, or should go for a sail down the Seine? Must you make a try to see every major landmark in a single weekend break, or should you consider the time to be better spent seated at a pavement cafe and gazing at the world go by? This city has a lot to provide that making the opinion about the things to do might be very difficult.
However, we do not visit Paris just for the sake of interesting attractions. Walking along the Champs-Elyssées, as well eating in the candlelit restaurants and gazing at the beautiful buildings offers some rest for your soul - and for relationships. It is not called a City of Love for nothing. But that romantic atmosphere is only a part of the reason why it is such an awesome city for the weekend breaks. Another vital advantage is that it is easy to get into. If you have a busy life, it is often very hard to move away for much more than the weekend, as well you don't wish to spend the precious holiday time in travel. So hop onto the Eurostar to Paris or get a flight and you'll be in that French capital within few hours.
Paris is even a very simple city to get around. If you are used to the London Underground, the Paris Metro system might seem a delightful surprise, as it is very inexpensive, clean, convenient and quick. There is even a good system for bus and the commuter train service (or the RER). However, if you are not in the hurry, you may join the many tourists who opt to take in the atmosphere by just walking around as every major attraction is close by. You can get to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Galley and Museum, the Pompidou Centre, Cite des Sciences at de l'Industrie (or science museum), the Musee d'Orsay, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame Cathedral or the Sacré Coeur. all within walking distance - and stopping off at a cafe or restuarant during your trip. And if you have kids you could visit DisneyLand Paris to say hello to Mickey Mouse and friends!.
You can really only learn about that City of Love by being there. So head your way to the Paris and feel the magic by yourself.
